Water Seven Web Hosting Policy

Content Restrictions
Water Seven Community does not allow the following contents to reside in any account that is being hosted in its server:
1. Pirated Software
2. Pornographic Material
3. Advertisements which may be considered as:
3.1. Deceitful - these are the kind of advertisements that says, "You are a winner!" and the likes.
3.2. Adult Related - advertisements that are linked to a pornographic material or website.
3.3. Pop Up - advertisements that pops up in a different window.
3.4. Warez Related - advertisements that are linked to warez material or website.
3.5. Excessive - advertisements that exceeds two advertising unit per page.
4. Racism and/or any kind of foul, offensive words and/or expressions
5. Copyright Impringement Materials
6. Proxy Scripts, File Hosting Scripts, Discuz and PhpWind Forum Software
7. Threat to Public Safety
8. False accusations against Water Seven Community and its officials
Proper Use of Web Hosting Account
Your account should only be used for hosting the website (including blogs and community forums) you created. The following usages of accounts are not allowed:
1. Hosting linked files, community forums, bulletins, guestbooks, etc..
Hosting them in Water Seven server but the main site is located in a different server. Water Seven is not file host, your main site must be located in Water Seven.
2. Uploading unsafe scripts for practice or trial purposes.
Water Seven has an educational package for educational purposes but not for trial or testing of unsafe scripts or programs you created. If you are just trying to create a script that is considered unsafe or will affect the performance of the Water Seven server, please do not upload it. Your account will be terminated if scripts of that kind is found in your account. Water Seven can not take the risk. Please use other free web servers.
3. Password protected folders, forums, etc..
It is your duty to make it easy for us to know what kind of materials you are uploading in your account. If you want to make any part of your account private, please give the Water Seven Staff the password to access it.
4. Auto-generated sites used mainly for online advertisements.
Articles that you should host must be the ones you created. Your site must not be a collection of articles from other authors with the main purpose of displaying advertisements all around it.
5. Heavy loaded sites that monopolize the server's cpu and/or memory resources.
Water Seven have plenty of free web space and free bandwidth to offer, but not excessive cpu and memory resources. If your site will consume too much of the server's cpu and memory resources causing negative impacts on the server's overall performance, your account will be terminated. Please consider using paid hosting for that purposes.
6. Sending mass emails and/or unsolicited emails.
Water Seven does not allow transmission of emails that are addressed to more than 7 persons at a single time, or more than 7 emails in a day. If you have the need to send emails above this minimum, please include the finetraders gmail account in bcc. Detected unsolicited emails sent from your account will cause your account to be deleted.
7. Clone sites and/or phishing sites.
Water Seven does not allow sites that are clones of other famous sites like youtube, myspace, etc. Phishing sites will deleted after being reported to the proper authorities.
Multiple Accounts
A single user, a community member, is now allowed to apply for and, if found justifiable, to be granted with multiple accounts. Provided that the member should purchase the VIP Account subscription, which costs $7.77 USD per year, or maintain a minimum of 7 posts inside the community forum every month for every additional account that the member has.
Code of Ethics
Water Seven Community respects and abides to its Code of Ethics derived from the values and principles the community hold on to. Expressions and conducts intentionally done to demonstrate a protest or abhorrence to the Code of Ethics will never be tolerated especially inside the community, or even outside of our server.
1. Be honest.
Learn to accept any faults you have done, whether intentional or not. Don't lie to the community. Please make sure that the information you are presenting to Water Seven are true and correct.
2. Be humorous.
You don't have to become a Charlie Chaplin to be able to tell a joke.
3. Be humble.
Water Seven accepts you as a community member and as a friend. But don't ever forget to always remain humble. Please don't act as if you are the owner of this forum and you own the community. Even friends have to respect each other, or friendship will just fade away.
4. Be kind.
Learn how to become courteous and helpful to others. Disagreement is no excuse for poor behaviour or personal attacks. Water Seven does not want a community where people feel uncomfortable with each other. When someone asks for help, please politely make a polite suggestion. When you disagree with other's opinion or decision, please do so politely. When something seems outrageous, check that you did not misinterpret it. Ask for clarification, but do not assume the worst. When people tell a joke, don't cry.
5. Be self-disciplined.
Water Seven members must be self-disciplined members regardless of their different ages. Water Seven creates rules and regulations for the members to follow, but members are expected to perform good manners and right conducts even when there is no explicit rule about it.
Account Inspections
In addition to cron programs that regularly detect and locate malicious accounts, Water Seven Community Administrators also conduct random checking in an irregular basis to confirm that none of our members are violating our web hosting policy and our community laws of conduct, and at the same time, to verify that none of our members possess possible trojan horses lurking in our servers. In order to avoid miscommunications and misinterpretations between account users and account inspectors, it is the duty of all members to promptly report to Water Seven the necessary information about their accounts. These duties and information include but are not limited to the following:
1. Reporting account's database.
Water Seven offers unlimited creation and use of database, but all members are required to report to the System Administrators all the database they have created and the purpose of each database.
2. Reporting account's awstats.
Water Seven needs to know how intense the server traffic is, and to be able to grasp how much congestion the server may possibly get in a single instant in order to predict worst cases where its cpus will have a shortage in resources. This will serve as a reference in deciding whether to stop accepting further account applications or to purchase additional hardware to meet the further needs.
3. Reporting account's advertisements.
Water Seven does not recommend any form of advertisements to be placed in its member's site. Members are required to report whether they are displaying any form of advertisements in their account. Accounts having advertisements displayed must purchase the VIP Account subscription, which costs $7.77 USD per year, or maintain a minimum of 7 posts inside the community forum every month.
4. Reporting account's commercial use.
Water Seven does not recommend the use of its free server for commercial purposes, this includes offering services for a price, any form of trade, and any form of selling items. Members are required to report any commercial use of their account. Accounts being used for commercial purposes must purchase the VIP Account subscription, which costs $7.77 USD per year, or maintain a minimum of 7 posts inside the community forum every month.
5. Keeping the account's contact information updated.
Water Seven members are required to keep their contact information in their cpanel accounts and forum accounts updated. The use of email accounts that are set to auto-respond are not allowed.
6. Keeping informed about new and revised policies.
Water Seven members are required to visit the community website and forum to learn about new policies or changes to rules made. These are most of the time announced in the community forums. Members who failed to understand and follow instructions in these announcements simply because they can not understand the English Language will have their accounts terminated.
Perpetual Evolution
Water Seven reserves the right to change this policy at any time, for any reason, without prior notice, and it is the users responsibility to stay up-to-date on the contents of this policy. Water Seven Community, now in its 2nd Stage, is undergoing a continuous process of improvements. We will never be complacent with mediocre performances and lukewarm amusements. Thus, we constantly innovate and delivers drastical solutions if necessary to fulfill our community goals, missions and visions, with total dedication to our honored values.
Semi-professional Service
Rather than claiming ourselves to be "professionals," we prefer to look at ourselves as "amateurs" in the web hosting industry. In a sense that we are always searching for the best answers, we continuously learn from our mistakes and we put value in constructive criticisms. We strongly believe that all of us in the community deserve to experience an even better, if not the best, services in every next tick of the clock.
Penalties and Forclosures
A violation of the Water Seven Web Hosting Policy will result to one or more penalties. Cases of severe and deliberate violations, may result to immediate forclosure of the member's account without any prior notice given to the offending member. Water Seven reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at its sole discretion. Water Seven reserves the right to terminate any free account at any time without prior notice, and/or consent.
Damage and Loss
Water Seven will not be liable for any damage or loss that may result from the free use of its server and other free services. Water Seven does not provide any warranty or any promise of compensation for any damage or loss that may incur in using any of its free services at any given time. Water Seven member maybe held liable for damage or loss that the member has caused to Water Seven, be it intentionally done or not.
